OCEAN BEACH PIER... HOW DOES ONE CAPTURE ITS BEAUTY?

It's alway the light that makes each picture unique... But how can you capture the feel. I guess maybe take pictures of whats around the pier. The people who use it, the ocean that battles against it, the beach, the wild life... each one says something about the pier.
